100% of my yarn comes from sheep who are raised within the British Isles. The fleece is then processed at either a mill in Yorkshire, UK before it reaches me for weaving. I have also recently sourced a beautiful Cornish yarn from The Natural Fibre Company in Launceston, Cornwall. I choose British wool to utilise a fibre that is natural, native and abundantly available locally, hence reducing unnecessary carbon and waste. Buying British gives me more confidence in animal welfare standards which are of utmost priority to me. This comes at a premium but I wouldn't have it any other way

For orders from within the UK, I ensure to ship your Ready-Woven product within five working days of receipt of purchase. This will be shipped as a Royal Mail Special Delivery. Should there be any important need for delivery sooner, then this can be arranged via telephone by the customer: Contact Me

When it comes to Made-to-Order and Custom orders, a ship-by date is to be agreed in advance, there is usually a 21 day lead time though this will be confirmed after purchase

Wool is a fantastic fibre and possesses a multitude of properties that make it extra special. To gain the most out of your woollies there are ways you can prolong longevity, so they can be enjoyed for generations

Each of my handwoven adornments is carefully hand-wrapped in planet-friendly paper with a little narrative scroll to illuminate the story that inspired each small batch piece, finished with a bow of yarn

It is then placed carefully into it's own GOTS organic drawstring gift bag before dispatch - with the option of a hand-written personalised message for the recipient - this can be arranged by highlighting during the ordering process

On bare skin some types of wool can be found to be slightly irritating. During the process of milling yarn, the naturally occuring oils are stripped from the fibre to aid in the spinning or dying processes. This can leave wool fibres less supple and hence more itchy. Natural oils are replaced with regular wear of a woollen product, which therefore makes the fibres naturally softer. This is also true with the warming of fibres with wear. Through the technical finishing processes of a newly woven product these fibres can be softened all the more

All wool has a micron count, the higher the micron then the softer the wool. As the products I make are usually worn next to the skin, it is important that the yarn I choose is of a mid to high micron count. And hence suitable for next-to-skin wear for the majority of people

Some people choose to wear a thin silk scarf under their woollen scarf but this is quite uncommon. The best thing to do to soften any wool found to be itchy, is to wear it, where you natural body oils will eventually soften the fibres

Wool does not require regular washing unlike many other materials, please see the Product Care Guide for details on best practice
