This is the first iteration of Eric’s weaving contraption, rough and ready compared to the second project
Designed and built by Eric of pallets and string. We chose these particular resources as they were readily available during the spring of 2020 when many merchants were forced to close
The use of reclaimed materials presented their own set of challenges and took a little more time to prepare for use however the outcome stood the test of time and rigourous use. See below for images of our first loom through different stages of build and use
This first project has also acted as a catalyst for understanding the principles behind designing and building weaving contraptions in preparation for the second iteration which is now in production of our handwoven scarves, now with scope for more complicated patterns, more efficiency and style

Our Four Heddle Table Loom, complete and rigged up. Designed and scratch-built by our own Eric from salvaged wood, cotton string, patience and ingenuity
